Who Are You?

My name is Carl Valentine.  I am just a simple machinist from the Midwest.  I work 40+ hours a week just like most normal human beings. I have a wife and 3 children who quite honestly don't even know that this bet has taken place or that this website even exists.

Who is your friend?

I am not going to disclose his name until after the match in April. I will tell you however that he is one of the most well known internet marketers in the world.  Him and I met in high school and since our days playing football together we have always been fierce competitors.  In any of my Updates I will simply refer to him as Mr.X. Some people think that he is A "Rich Jerk" but in reality he is a nice guy with too much money that loves to gamble for ANY stakes.

Are you really going to cut off your finger?

Considering my friend is really going to pay me $1,000,000 if I beat him playing our poker match, Yes I am really going to cut off my finger.  I haven't quite thought of the actual amputation and how I will do it yet, for now I am just hoping that I'm playing to win the money and not to lose a finger. More than likely I'll have it done by a medical professional though.  On a side note the $1,000,000 has been placed in an escrow account by my friend to show his good faith in paying me.

Are you crazy?

Obviously I am a bit crazy for accepting the proposition, but it's just a finger....I have plenty more.  Besides this is the only opportunity I will probably ever have to win $1 Million dollars.

Why Play Online Versus Live?

Because geographically we live in separate states.  Likewise this will allow the entire world to watch the event live at PokerHeaven.com while it is taking place.

Can I advertise on your website?

For now I am just interested in getting as many people to the website as possible.  Eventually if there is enough demand, I may accept a few advertisers.  But for know unless you make me a ridiculous offer the answer is probably No.
